Catalogue Protocol

In most cases, publications have been listed by Press, and within each press are arranged alphabetically by the author's surname. Books published without an imprint are grouped at the bottom of each list as Self-Published.

The standard format for the entries are:
Authors' Name/s (First Last), Publication Title: Subtitle. Edition/Series if applicable. Date. Press: Place of Publication. Size, page count.

In some cases, such as Periodicals, this protocol has been altered to adapt to the bibliographic format under consideration. Edited anthologies are listed by title; multiple-authored works (of which there are many) have typically been alphabetized according to the name of the author with the least represented in the press or the library in general. No fully satisfactory solution for this situation could be found however, so researchers looking for work by a particular author will be best served by conducting a search of the page with their browser's "Find" command.

Page counts include front and back covers and every page; thus, they will not always match the numeration in the books themselves.

Rather than precise measurements, I have adapted the traditional system (Folio, Quaro, Octavo, etc.) based on the number of folds in the production of the book; though outdated vis-a-vis industrial printing technology, this system still reflects the mode of production for DIY books. Thus a standard chapbook size (folded 8.5" x 11" in the US, folded A4 in the UK, etc.) is listed as "Half Sheet", a TLP made of the same sheet folded twice and cut is "Quarter-Sheet" and folded 11" x "17, A3, etc. is listed as "Full Sheet".

The catalog lists have been numbered for ease of navigation, but specific numbers are not assigned to specific books; they will change constantly as new books are added.

Due to the mechanics of updating the online catalogue regularly, it is not practicable to italicize, underline, or boldface titles, despite the inconvenience this entails.
